Q: I am getting an error “No hardware acceleration found.”

A: You need to ensure you have OpenGL compliant 3D hardware accelerator and the latest drivers installed for your particular video card.


Q: How do I know if I have any hardware acceleration?

A: Well, if your video card’s name sounds something like ‘GeForce’ or ‘Radeon’ then this is a hardware accelerated video card and the game will work fine with this. Or you can try to run our game on any other hardware to see if the game runs.


Q: I have 3D accelerator but the game is extremely slow.

A: Note that the performance of 3D accelerators has increased tremendously over the past few years. Old 3D accelerators may in fact be so slow and have too little memory to be of any use. If this is the case you may need to buy a new 3D accelerator.


Q: When I am running the game, the screen goes black and after some time the game drops back to the desktop.

A: Update your video drivers.


Q: The game crashes when I try to change video mode from the Options menu.

A: We’d recommended you to use external Video Setup to change display settings.


Q: How can I improve performance on lower end machines?

A: First of all, set your screen resolution (from the Options menu or Video Setup) to 640 x 480 and color depth to 16 bits. Then from External Setup disable vertical synchronization (Wait VSYNC) and set texture filter to Bilinear.


Q: What’s wrong with your smoke? It looks like a bunch of black squares.

A: Your 3D accelerator does not support this kind of color blending or your video drivers should be updated.


Q: Mouse cursor in the Main menu is very slow.

A: Enable ‘Use System Mouse Cursor’ check-box in the external Video Setup.


Q: I can’t get this stupid enemy moving along an edge of the map.

A: Sometimes you can kill such ‘smart’ enemies when they’ve just appeared on your screen and stay in “a field of view” of your weapon.
